Design is a response to our client’s needs and desires, with consideration for the site, the sun, the views, the environment, the budget and all building codes. We look for the truth behind the issues and focus on that core element that defines the challenge. In our search for the essence of the design, it is necessary that we explore the art of design. However, we believe that for this art to become architecture, it must be grounded in reality. To get from the art of design to the science of design, we put each project through a rigorous process. |
Program – identify
space and functional needs, establish construction budget Survey – measure building for addition and/or renovation, analyze site Research Zoning – identify all regulations affecting project Design – draw solutions in plan, elevation and perspective, refine construction budget Listen – meet with client and collect feedback. Revise Design – revise drawings, refine construction budget, go back to Listen Construction Documents – produce documents for construction, bidding and permitting Construction Administration – monitor construction and builder, solve problems |
